Singapore Philatelic Museum

Hello Philatelist out there, This place will become your favorite place in Singapore. Singapore Philatelic Museum is located near City Hall MRT, It takes 10 minutes walk. It located at the junction of Coleman Street and Armenian Street. It also near to another museums and landmark buildings such as; Civil Defense Heritage Gallery, Peranakan Museum, Bible Museum, Armenian Church. It cost me S$6 to get in, I got a sticker to be stick on the clothe and a ticket with cool design.

Haii Para filateliss diluar sanaa *berasa lagi konser*, Tempat ini akan menjadi tempat favorit kalian saat berkunjung ke Singapura. Museum Filateli Singapur berlokasi didekat MRT city hall, kira-kira sekitar 10 menit jika kita berjalan kaki. Lokasinya terletak di pesimpangan Jalan Coelman dan Jalan Amrenian. Tempat juga dekat dengan beberapa museum dan bangunan ternama lain, misalnya Civil Defense Heritage Gallery, Peranakan Museum, Bible Museum, Gerjea Armenian. Dengan tiket masuk sebesar S$6, saya mendapatkan stiker yang harus ditempel di baju dan tiket dengan desain keren.



At that time, There were two exhibitions held in the museum, "The Postal Connection: Singapore & Thailand" and "Imagine Dragon". After entering the entrance gate there is a room that display "The History of Stamp", We also could know the history of Singapore's Postal service, the first motorcycle that used by postman, the first mail box, the way of stamp being printed, and the first mail + Singapore stamp.

Ketika itu, disana sedang diselenggarakan pameran "The Postal Connection : Singapore & Thailand" dan "Imagine Dragon". Setelah memasuki pintu masuk, kita akan menemukan sebuah ruangan yang memajang "Sejarah Perangko", Dan kita juga bisa mengetahui sejarah layanan pos di singapore, motor pertama yang digunakan tukang pos disana, kotak surat pertama, cara pencetakan perangko dan surat plus perangko pertama di Singapur.


Move to another room, we could found stamps collection from many countries and also from Singapore year by year. It arranged well in rolling glass that could be drag in and out. In the middle hall there was Singapore&Thailand exhibit. 

Berpindah keruangan lain, kita dapat menemukan koleksi perangko dari berbagai negara dan juga Singapur itu sendiri dari tahun ke tahun. Perangko tersebut disusun secara apik disebuah kaca yang dapat ditarik keluar dan didorong kedalam. Dan di ruangan tengah terdapat pameran Singapur&Thailand tadi.

Another Temporary Exhibition located upstairs, "Imagine Dragon" and "Spice is Nice". The exhibit display stamps from many countries with dragons theme and Spices theme. It also has activities and games for visitors.

Pameran sementara lainnya yang berada dilantai atas antara lain "Imagine Dragon" dan "Spice is Nice". Pameran tesebut menampilkan berbagai gambar perangko dari beberapa negara dengan tema naga dan bumbu-bumbu. Ditambah lagi terdapat bermacan aktifitas dan permainan untuk pengunjung.

 Outside the "Imagine Dragon Room", there were Mailbox miniature coin bank's design from many countries. But I can't find my country heheheheh.



There're also some permanent exhibition, such as; Room of Rarities, Heritage Room, Orange Room and Purple Room. 



Last but not least shop collectible stamps in the museum's shop and souvenir :). Before I exit the museum, a man asked me to answer some survey, and he gave me this as a gift
