1. PokeBall Donuts from Doughnut Time

My fave Doughnut store in Central Park Mall, Sydney

Please don't throw away this Donut for catching Pokemon, because it is too good to be missed. It is Nutella-Filled Pokeball Donut special from Doughnut Time and of course it is for limited time only. I realized for this menu when I came to Doughnut time's store in Central Park mall and I didn't get this donut since it sold out just before my turn on the queue, too bad huh?

I Pika Choose you

I came back the following day to Doughnut time's store in Queen Victoria market and got it.

2. Pokemon Pastries by Annachaannn

These pastries are really instagramable made by one of the famous food instagramer in Sydney. I bet most of Sydney foodies knew Anna from her instagram feed @annachaannn. She is not only an instagramer but also a baker who recently filled up "The Picnic Burwood", "Lid & Jar" and "Made" pastry showcase with her cute and yummy pastries.

The bad news is you can't predict when will these cuties coming up to the stores, we have to stay tune to Anna's Instagram for the newest info for upcoming cakes and where it will be sold. Moreover these pokemon dounts and tarts are limited and sold out within hours

3. Pokeburgers by Hashtag Burger - Down N' Out

Pokeburgers

Pikachu Burger

These are the most famous along this week, Hashtag burger on their Down N' Out Pop out store stand out with the idea of these Pokemon starter burgers. Meet Pikachu, Charmander and Bulbasaur burgers on Sir John Young Hotel on limited time only. They even have a special rules for these burger, where you cannot choose what burger will you get, which is similar with the idea of hatching egg on Pokemon game. One person can only order for one burger and no takeaway available for this menu.

Charmander Burger

For those who are wondering why there's no Squirtle burger on the menu, one of their staff said that their chef tried to create blue buns but it always turned out green. No water element starter for this burgers then which actually my favorite starter.

 Bulbasaur Burger

They will open until Sep 3rd 2016 on lunch (12pm - 3pm) and dinner (5pm - 9pm) service. I visited their store on dinner service which actually the customers already queued before 5pm hahahahha even some cops came inside to figure it out why there were long queue on Liverpool street. The good news is these burgers are not just cute to be eaten but they also taste really good, the patty is so juicy yes yes #burger (Hashtag burger) is famous for its burgers, right?

4. Pokeball & Pikachu Macaroons in Narrabeen

Located approximately 45 minutes drive from Sydney CBD, one of Narrabeen's cafe join the hype of Pokemon Go too. I went to Narrabeen frequently and paid a visit to this cafe once for its Almond Croissant, which I like the most. I came back this afteroon to Narrabeen and finally bought these macaroons. Well, the Pikachu's face was quite funny but it sure tasted good. It was Nutella-filled Pikachu macaroon.

 gotta catch 'em all

Down the rabbit hole to sip a good selection of tea.

As well as we know, Australia is famous for its coffee culture, especially Melbourne and Sydney. In Sydney you can find soooo many coffee shops around the city. Sometimes it makes me sad, as I don't drink coffee, but thanks God there are some tea shops stand in the middle of these coffee roasters.

Actually I knew this place since the first week I arrived in Sydney but this lazy lady finally decided to come to this place last week. If you check my tea collection in my cupboard, you will know that I am a Tea Addict, I can't help myself to buy a new variant of tea.

The Rabbit Hole has 2 stores around Sydney, the first one is in Redfern area and another one is in Barangaroo area. I went to their store in Redfern on last Saturday and yes it was really busy. I dont know whether this place adopted the idea from Alice in Wonderland or not but since the name is rabbit hole, "tea time" and they use playing card as table number. It pretty much reminds me about Alice in Wonderland theme, but without its playful colors. The Interior is white, minimalist and clean, it has dining area and store area (to display their tea collection). Before you come to this place, you might want to check their menus on their website, they changing menu every season.

I decided to order choc orange fudge latte after some time, to be honest I was a little bit confuse on what should I order, they have so many teas menu. It was actually a blend of black tea with chocolate and orange. I added 2 blocks of brown sugar to make it more sweet. I usually never add sugar to my tea but I think It better to be sweet for this one, so I put it. My Latte came quite quick and it was serve in the cute bunny tail cup.

For my brunch I chose slow cooked beef in black tea sandwich, my friend said it was too heavy for breakfast, but who cares? I need some energy before go to work, hahahaha. Well, although for the winter day you might want to order their soup but I can't help myself when the guest sitting next to me order this menu earlier and the smell of sandwich was really appealing. The mixed of juicy slow cooked beef, tender pickled cauliflower and cheddar cheese were perfect.

For tea lover, I think this place is a perfect hangout place. I think It wasn't enough for me if I just visit this place one time. I totally enjoyed my brunch here and can't wait for my next visit. Next week, shall we?

It's winter in Sydney now, but I just found a place which make me feel in the summer time (except the wind outside the cafe, lol). In the intersection of Forbes street and Burton street you will find a cafe with a wink rabbit as logo, called The Rusty Rabbit.

It located in Darlinghurst, Sydney near St Vincent's hospital. I always pass this place whenever I take a bus to Paddington from CBD and this place really caught my attention. I like the industrial and vintage look in the interior of the cafe and lucky me I got the perfect table near the window. The Rusty Rabbit serves all day breakfast and lunch (lunch will serve start 11.30 am)

I've got a different table situation from what I've seen from some pictures on instagram, that day our table atmosphere was sooo summer. They added the pineapple as the table decoration and voila here come the summer ambiance. Because of this, my friend decided to order a cold drink to brighten the day. I ordered chicken & rice and hot chocolate, meanwhile my friend decided to get smashed avocado and minty lemonade.

our table situation

Hot chocolate on a cold day never failed on me and I liked my healthy brunch menu. My brunch was chicken breast marinated in garlic, thyme and citrus served with greens (I got broccoli and sauteed spinach), brown rice, red quinoa and topped with crispy sweet potato. If I could customized one thing, I would love my meal without balsamic vinegar on the bottom layer of it, everything was perfect except for that thing.

For the cold drink, Minty Lemonade we loveedd it so much. It was so refreshing, we even really curious for the recipe as we really wanted this kind of drink on our home. My friend's smashed avocado spread on soylinseed toast and topped with feta cheese and she love it so much (I didn't try this one as I needed to focus on finishing my meal, LOL).

Overall I had a very nice meal and place with humble staffs, will definitely visit this place again some time to get brunch and take a gulp of the refreshing that minty lemonade.

What is come into your mind when you heard words "Choux" or "Choux cream puff?"
For me, that words will remind me to the final episode of Junior Masterchef Australia season 1 where the grand finalist, Jack and Isabella have a pressure test to recreate Adriano Zumbo's pear perfection. I think that was my first time hear about choux but I never tasted choux until today.

Fortunately my foodie friend, Gavrila asked me to join her to try a cute shaped choux cream puff in Rosebery area. I searched via Instagram hashtag about the place quickly and found some of famous Sydney foodies uploaded these cute items.

It wasn't my first visit to Rosebery, previously I came to this area for haveing a watermelon cake at Black Star Pastry. Located on Botany road, Doux Amour was really easy to found (thanks to Google Maps) and this place open from 10am - 2pm on Sunday (another thanks to Zomato app). We finally decided to come to this dessert parlour first before heading to another place to get our brunch.

I didn't see any other cakes on the display except these cream puffs. I found some mini dummy cakes on the right bottom but I don't think they have it on stock. There were 4 different types and flavors of cream puffs but we only chose 3 of them.

Penguin Blackie - Black Sesame

Rosie Pig - Lychee & Rose

Nutty Freckle Bear - Nutella (I believe you will love this one)

The cream puffs were yummy and they were not overly sweet. The cream filling was so light and soft. I like the Nutty Freckles Bear shaped with nutella cream filling. Cream puff with Penguin shaped has black sesame cream filling and the piggy shaped has lychee & rose cream filling. These two flavors were okay as I am not a fan of black sesame and when it comes to lychee and rose, I think I would prefer in a form of ice cream.

For drink, I only purchased one menu, Green tea latte. They have Sweet potato and Taro latte as well. It was really good to have a hot cup of latte on a such cold day. Psst today was 11 degree celcius and the wind was no joke, as a girl who come from tropical country, this Sydney's autumn is too cold.
Green Tea Latte

Overall, I really enjoyed my time in this place and I hope they will continue create another new cute and yummy menu. It was not really spacious cafe and it was full this afternoon.

I found a place where you can eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner by yourself, with a friend or even with family which not only serve great food but also have an art space with greenish view on the back and really close to playground. It's one a kind restaurant, right? This restaurant located in Willoughby, Northern Sydney called Incinerator.

we sat on outdoor area (it seems like for take away area LOL)

Incinerator? really? at first I was confused why they named it after this waste material burning machine. Well, it used to be a place for incinerator back then in 1930's which transformed into a nice cafe which located beside the Bicentennial Reserve now. It has indoor and outdoor seating, and you might want to take the outdoor seating when it has nice weather in Sydney, because I think when it crowded their indoor seating will become too noisy.

As me and my friend came during lunch service, we ordered Southern Fried Chicken burger and Wood roasted fish for our meal plus Mocha coffee and Pineapple, apple, lemon and mint cold pressed juice for our drinks.

Wood roasted fish

 Southern fried chicken burger

Pineapple, Apple, Lemon and mint cold pressed juice

Mocha Coffee

My wood roasted seasonal fish served with eggplant salad and lemon. I got King Trout for my lunch (this menu served seasonal fish, you might want ask staff for what kind of fish they have that day, when I heard it was King Trout I nodded my head quickly), it cooked really good and seasoned well. The skin was so crispy and the fish fillet was so juicy. As I do not really a fans of eggplant, so I might say this eggplant salad was okay and I can't believe I can eat half of it, my mom should be proud, lol. My friend who is a big fans of eggplant said it was nice and she helped me to finish the salad, big thanks to her.

My friend's Southern fried chicken burger served with savoy cabbage, parsley slaw, hot sauce and potato wedges. I tried this burger a bite too, I like it when burger buns toasted. Its karage chicken was juicy, slaw and cabbage were fresh.

The Incinerator serves coffee from The Grounds Roaster which is known by its great coffee. I reaaaallly like my cold pressed juice, I did not expect my drink would be sooo and refreshing, but it was, REALLY. Well, my drink was quite expensive but it was really worth it especially on the hot day.

We still have another mission to try their cakes and pastries, so we decided to order carrot cake and mocha cinnamon roll as our desserts. These two cakes were incredibly GOOD. Even my friend said it tasted like home baked by her parents and remind her for good childhood memories. I'm not the one who grown up with cinnamon roll and carrot cake, but I can say this Mocha cinnamon roll was really tasty.

Carrot Cake

Overall, I really have a great experience during my lunch in this restaurant. They served really nice food, I really satisfied with my super yummy roasted King Trout and my super fresh cold pressed juice (I really recommend you to order this drink, it was so refreshing). Finally I have to thank its carrot cake to close my delightful lunch.

Here we go again for another restaurant and cafe adventure in heart of Sydney. I can do cafe hopping most of the time back then in Jakarta but since I'm living in Sydney for this year and it is quite exy (slang word of Expensive in Australia) to sit down and enjoy cafe and dessert here, so I only manage to do this my favorite thing once or twice in a month, LOL.

Well, to be honest most all the dessert's price are similar like the one I found in Jakarta. I can found A$4 - A$7 eclairs in Sydney CBD and it pretty much have the same price with some eclairs when you visit one of the cake shop in South Jakarta area.

Ok, back to the story, last week I and my friend visited another one of the famous dessert parlour in Sydney, The Choc Pot. Along with its name, the famous this of this dessert place is chocolate-something which served in pot (a small bowl) or most of us known as molten choco lava cake. Unfortunately, we did not order that cake and chose waffle instead.

Pick a tea

Brownies selections

I visited The Choc Pot in Sydney CBD branch, located in Regent Place near Sydney Town Hall. The place was not really big but it look spacious due to its seating arrangement. It has brown and yellow domination colors, which reminds me of the "Woot coffee and mates"'s place in Jakarta, but this one is bigger.

It has some dessert collections from brownies, crepes, cakes to waffles, meanwhile for the beverages its have smoothies, quite wide range of tea selections and hot drinks. I ordered Honeycrumb waffnut and Japanese Cherry (green tea), meanwhile Mitha ordered Secret garden and white chocolate strawberry smoothie.

My honeycrumb waffnut was basically 2 round shaped crunchy waffles stacked up with rock salt ice cream on the layer, crunchy biscuit crumbs, topped with Belgian chocolate, salted caramel and upside down ice cone. I think I made a good decision when pairing it with a cup of tea to balance its salty and sweetness. I like the texture of the waffle, it crunchy outside but still soft inside. I crushed the ice cone, sprinkle the crumbs to my ice cream and finally scooped it together with the slice of waffle.

Honeycrumb Waffnut

Since I love tea, I really like it when The Choc Pot has some selection of green tea. I like tea with clear appearance and have fruit or flower mixture init. Previously, I cant decided which tea flavor should I choose. The Choc Pot has Japanese lime, mango sencha, Japanese Cherry from Green tea selections, white rose (white tea), passion fruit, white peach, berries & orange, apricot & peach from black tea selections.

 Japanese Cherry Tea (Green Tea)

Another dish was Secret Garden, a glass of dark chocolate Callebaut and white chocolate Callebaut topped with biscuit crumbs, chocochips and Strawberry. For those who wondering what is Callebaut, It is a company that producing high quality of Belgian Chocolate and yes its chocolate is REALLY GOOD. This Secret Garden's chocolate texture was really soft and smooth like panna cotta, I can eat this dish everyday, hahahahahah.

 The Secret Garden

Yummy... yummy...

Our menus for that day :)

Overall, I really enjoyed my time in The Choc Pot. Maybe on my next visit I will come to their branch in Burwood, Rosebery or Chatswood to get another comfy dessert time experience and try their crepes, their famous choc pot and Green tea panna cotta latte, let's LIVE CHEEKY!!
