Geret Koper

Ringan geret koper, Berat kasih porter

Where to Start

View this post on Instagram

JANGANNNNNN!! KAN LAGI PUASA *tunggu pas buka aja* #ehgimana • Please ignore the caption, thank you #sydneysider #Sydney #lake #Narrabeen #Narrabeenlake #picturesque #landscape #travel #travelblogger #traveller #randomtrip #autumn #NSW #NorthernBeaches #ngabuburit #seeaustralia #australia #travelaustralia

Where to Stay

Suasana di bus menuju The Entrance

Well gimana engga kepagian, saya sampai di The Entrance jam 7 pagi sedangkan kegiatan memberi makan Pelikannya baru mulai jam 4 sorenya.

Beberapa Pelikan tampak seperti berbaris sambil menunggu dikasih makan.

Pelikan aja mau berbaris rapih sambil nunggu dikasih makan

Masih nyoba bersabar ngantri dikasih makan

Whenever weekend comes, the first thing come up in my mind is "Where should I go this time?" I rarely have day off on Sunday but when I get one, I really want to maximize the day. Another good news is Opal Card daily cap limit on Sunday only A$2,5, so I can travel quite far and it will just cost me A$2,5.

Three months ago, my friend came to visit Sydney before she moved back to Indonesia. I came with an idea to visit Watsons Bay in Eastern suburb and she agreed. Watsons bay can be reach easily by ferry or bus from city and this area is part of Sydney Harbour National Park. I might say Sydney Harbour national park is a unique national park which located on 4 different area, Watsons bay, Manly, Mosman and Balgowlah height.

That was a quite hot day even the winter hasn't come to an end. It was good thing since we got a really blue and bright sky which is perfect for taking picture, but the bad thing was we still wear our heavy jacket, super wrong outfit hahahaha.

wrong outfit

Ferry from Circular quay to Watsons bay leaves from wharf 4 every 30 minutes. I would say trekking path to the lighthouse is level 1 since it was quite easy path unlike the one I've done in Palm beach.

If you come to Watsons bay around lunch hour, you can grab your lunch from some food store near the Ferry wharf. I had Fish and Chips as my lunch and some seagulls as my companion, what a perfect annoying lunch hahahaha.

Fish and chip by the beach

oops I visited nude beach by accident

Tips:
1. Read sign correctly before enter some area, I was accidentally downhill to nude beach on my way to the lighthouse, hahahahahah when I realized, I quickly came back to the main road
2. See the weather forecast first, you dont want to get wrong costume
3. I bet you want to go to this place on Sunday since it will cost you A$2,5 on transport :) and you will save your money on ferry or you can take 324/325 bus from Park street, Town hall
4. Bring some water and snacks if you want to stay a while on the top, because there is no food stall up there and don't forget to throw your rubbish on trash bin provided

Have you ever imagine to come to the zoo at night?
This was my first time coming to the zoo in Australia and at night. What a nice experience! I told you earlier on my previous post that Vivid Sydney has a new spot join Vivid event which is Taronga Zoo.

Well, I didn't manage to see a real animal on this vivid session but I did have a great time at the zoo. This vivid event from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm. The rain started to fall when I am arriving Taronga and I didnt bring umbrella hahahaha (ohh please guys make sure you check weather forecast first, don't be silly like me). I kept entering the zoo since I already bought selected date entrance ticket. Some of the installations / lanterns can move its head, mouth or foot.

Platypus

Echidna

Sea Turtles

Honeyeater

 Rhino

Sumatran Tiger

Sumatran Elephant (I think it from Lampung)

Sun Bear

 Corroboree Frog

Sunda Pangolin

 Greater Bilby

Ring-tailed lemur (King Julian, is that you?)

If you don't want to purchase entrance ticket, you can still enjoy 2 animal lanterns and watch building illumination near the entrance gate.

When I was in Sunda Pangolin lantern, some visitors asked Zoo staff about the species like what kind of animal is Pangolin and where does it come from. He explained that Sunda Pangolin is come from Sumatra, well if you read about the event in this Zoo, they explained that they have 10 endangered animal lanterns from Australia and Sumatra but as Indonesian I knew that Sunda Pangolin is comes from Java. I really want to explain it to others but I think it was too late since he already said it to tens people in front of me. Well at least I explained to two little girls that some of the lanterns animal came from Indonesia and Sunda Pangolin come from Java but she didn't know where is it *tears*.

Do you know that you can see Sydney Harbour bridge and Sydney Opera House from this Zoo? It is really pretty at night especially in the Vivid event like this.

It's been a week since the first day of Vivid Sydney. The event will be here from 27 May - 18 Jun 2016 and i'm so excited, well not only because it's my first Vivid experience but because I really love city light. Some of my friends said that Vivid installations are only worth to watch at Opera house and customs house Sydney, so last night I went to Circular Quay.

This June I am facing winter season in Sydney which is become my very first experience. As a girl who came from tropical country, it wasn't easy and I always avoid to go outside during nights. Thanks God last night the weather was quite good, it was 16 degree and I decided to go to see this event.

This year, city of Sydney have some new spots join the hype of Vivid, some of those are Royal Botanical Garden with its Cathedral of lights and Taronga zoo with its be the light for the wild. Well, I think this night I will go to Taronga Zoo to watch those animal lanterns.

I have been bewitched by the illumination on Customs House building right after I hopped of from the train. I excitingly took a video of the illuminations and sent it to my brother, I knew he will jealous so bad.

After a nice walk from Circular Quay station to Royal Botanical Garden via Opera House, I finally arrived at Cathedral of Light installation. It has 70 meters length with thousands of LED light and I think it is become the most favorite installation during Vivid Sydney.

What is come into your mind when you heard words "Choux" or "Choux cream puff?"
For me, that words will remind me to the final episode of Junior Masterchef Australia season 1 where the grand finalist, Jack and Isabella have a pressure test to recreate Adriano Zumbo's pear perfection. I think that was my first time hear about choux but I never tasted choux until today.

Fortunately my foodie friend, Gavrila asked me to join her to try a cute shaped choux cream puff in Rosebery area. I searched via Instagram hashtag about the place quickly and found some of famous Sydney foodies uploaded these cute items.

It wasn't my first visit to Rosebery, previously I came to this area for haveing a watermelon cake at Black Star Pastry. Located on Botany road, Doux Amour was really easy to found (thanks to Google Maps) and this place open from 10am - 2pm on Sunday (another thanks to Zomato app). We finally decided to come to this dessert parlour first before heading to another place to get our brunch.

I didn't see any other cakes on the display except these cream puffs. I found some mini dummy cakes on the right bottom but I don't think they have it on stock. There were 4 different types and flavors of cream puffs but we only chose 3 of them.

Penguin Blackie - Black Sesame

Rosie Pig - Lychee & Rose

Nutty Freckle Bear - Nutella (I believe you will love this one)

The cream puffs were yummy and they were not overly sweet. The cream filling was so light and soft. I like the Nutty Freckles Bear shaped with nutella cream filling. Cream puff with Penguin shaped has black sesame cream filling and the piggy shaped has lychee & rose cream filling. These two flavors were okay as I am not a fan of black sesame and when it comes to lychee and rose, I think I would prefer in a form of ice cream.

For drink, I only purchased one menu, Green tea latte. They have Sweet potato and Taro latte as well. It was really good to have a hot cup of latte on a such cold day. Psst today was 11 degree celcius and the wind was no joke, as a girl who come from tropical country, this Sydney's autumn is too cold.
Green Tea Latte

Overall, I really enjoyed my time in this place and I hope they will continue create another new cute and yummy menu. It was not really spacious cafe and it was full this afternoon.
